I used to get up at 0600 every morning like clockwork. I would read the Bible, pray, clean up, and get ready to go to work. I have not been working lately, and I am trying to re-adjust my biological clock. My timing is off.sda
What about God’s timing? When we read about the atrocities in the world, we often crave immediate answers and swift justice. Ps 75 offers a great reminder of God’s perfect timing. Verse 2 especially resonates with anyone who has ever felt impatient or frustrated of waiting for diving intervention.
You say, “I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity.” (Verse 2)
Ps 75 is a song of thanksgiving. It acknowledges God’s sovereignty and justice. It speaks directly to the heart of our concern about fairness and divine timing. God assures us he chooses the right moment to act, and his judgements are always just. Verse 2 encourages believers to trust in God’s timing, even when it often does not align with our own expectations.
What do we make of this? Firstly, Be patient in prayer. When we pray for guidance or intervention, it is important to remember God’s timing may differ from ours. Trust in his perfect timing. Secondly, have faith in justice. Remember that God’s judgement is fair, and it comes at the right time. This helps us to remain steadfast and hopeful. Lastly, trust in God’s timing. Patience and faith are crucial when we wait for a personal breakthrough or a change in the society. Trust that God is working.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your unwavering justice and perfect timing. Teach me to trust in your plans. Help me to be patient as I pray for your righteous judgement. Help me to find peace in knowing you are always in control. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
