Companies closes account every month to check their financial status. They close accounts once a year to see the performance of the year. During Judgement Day, a final spiritual ledger is tallied, showing the comprehensive transactions all our choices and actions. Will it show a “profit” or a “loss”?
Granted, our salvation is not based on whether we make a “net profit”. It is based on our faith in God. Rev 20 presents a profound moment of diving reckoning. Everything in life is brought into clarity.
“And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.” (Verse 12)
Rev 20 unveils a breathtaking scene of ultimate accountability. The open book represents more than mere record-keeping. It is a moment of complete spiritual transparency where every hidden motivation, seemingly insignificant choice, and profound decision is brought to divine light. Nothing is hidden.
Judgement is not a mere punitive punishment. It is the ultimate expression of a loving God’s commitment to justice and restoration.
What can we do? Examine ourselves every day. Develop a perspective of grace that acknowledges personal accountability. Do not take grace for granted. Learn to view current choices through an eternal perspective. Release past failures into God’s mercy. Transform fear of judgement into hope of divine restoration.
Are you living with intentional spiritual awareness? Do you understand that every moment in your life carries eternal significance? Authentic faith requires vulnerability, continuous surrender, and hope-filled anticipation of a divine grace.

Father, shine your light on me and illuminate the hidden corners of my heart. Grant me wisdom to live purposely. Give me the courage to embrace your love. Give me the hope that transcends challenges in life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
