God is not interested in halfway commitments or part-time faith. He does not just want you on Sunday. He does not want you just when you are doing your ministry. He wants all of you – your heart, your mind, your soul. He also wants your trust. This is not because he is demanding or controlling, but because he knows that true joy, peace, and purpose come when we fully surrender to him.
We do not come to God with our blueprints and demand his rubber stamp. Submitting to God means letting go of our own agendas and trusting his instead. It is saying, “Lord, I do not need to have all answers because I know you do.” It is choosing his will over our wants, even when it is hard. Obedience is not always easy. but it is always worth it. When we follow him faithfully, even in the small things, we grow in wisdom, strength, and grace.
And then there is trust – the foundation of it all. God does not ask us to figure everything out. He asks us to trust that he already has. The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not in our understanding. (Pro 3:5) That is a choice we have to make every day. That is a choice we have to make many times a day.
So, give God all of you. Not just no Sundays. Not just during prayer meetings. Not just in good times. In everything. When you give him everything, he gives you more than you could ever imagine.
