Living Water That Does Not Run Dry
True joy is not something we manufacture; it is something we receive. It flows from God who gives us life, hope, and the promise that we are never alone. When our joy is rooted in him, it is not dependent on moods, seasons, or circumstances. It is steady because he is steady.
Sharing that kind of joy is powerful. It is more than passing on good vibes or making someone smile for a moment. It is offering a glimpse of the source. When people see joy in us even during hard times, they notice. They wonder where it comes from. That opens the door to point them toward the giver – God who gives us the living well that never runs dry.
As Psalm 16:11 says, “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
Carrying joy forward means not only keeping it alive in our own hearts but also letting it overflow into others’ lives. And when we share it, we are not giving away something that runs out — we are passing on something infinite, because it comes from God himself.
