Dawn arrives with quiet anticipation. The sky begins to lighten. Birds cheer before the sun even appears. The air feels fresh. Houses wake one by one. You can almost hear the world stretching as people step into a brand new day. It is a simple scene, yet it carries a steady truth. Night does not last. Morning always comes.
A new day brings new hope. Whatever weighed on us yesterday loses its power in the light of morning. God gives us another chance to trust him, to walk in grace, and to begin again. The Bible reminds us, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). Morning is more than a shift in time. It is God’s reminder that his mercy rises with the sun.
When the night turns into day, let your heart rise with it. Breathe in the fresh air. Notice the growing light. Soon you will see things clearly again. Open your hands to the hope God is already offering.
I invite you to say this prayer.
Father, thank you for the gift of morning. As this new day begins, fill me with your mercy and guide my steps. Help me leave yesterday behind and walk forward with trust. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
