Good morning. We begin this week’s reading with 1 Sam 29. We are two and a half months into the 2024 DUMC Bible Reading Plan. This week, we will find out how we can trust God – in whatever situations we are in.
As we read in 1 Sam 27, David sought refuge with the Philistines. He was put into the situation where he would fight his home country with his enemies. God provided a way out.
Trust God Even When Your Path Seems Unclear. David was in a difficult situation. It looks like he was in a dead end. He was in a path of no return. However, he continued to trust God. And God led him out of the tight spot.
Seek God Even in Difficult Situations. Even when David was navigating a complex situation, he kept his faith. We will do well to do the same. Remember to pray and seek God’s will. Trust God. He can use any difficult circumstances to bring about good.
Remember God’s Promises. David remembered he was the anointed king. He remembered the promise of God. We must hold on to God’s promises. At times, they may seem distant. God’s faithfulness ensures, even when the path seems unclear.
