In Psalm 60, we read about a distressing time where God rejected Israel. The psalmist acknowledged the challenges ahead, but he also had confidence in God’s deliverance and victory. He trusted God for restoration.
Verse 12 says, “With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.” – Psalm 60:12 (NIV) Do you know a song or two based on this verse?
Turn to God in Distress. When we face challenges or difficulties, we turn to God in prayer. We look for his guidance, we seek his comfort, and we want to get strength and wisdom from God. He is always ready to help.
Trust God to Deliver. The psalmist trusted God for deliverance and victory. We should be like the psalmist and put our faith in him. He can turn things around and make things right.
Seek God’s Restoration. When we experience setbacks in life, seek God’s restoration. Surrender our burdens to him and allow him to bring healing, renewal, and breakthrough. He is the God almighty.
Psalm 60 serves as a reminder to seek God in times of distress, to trust in his deliverance, and to seek his restoration. Let us turn to him for strength and victory. With our God, all things are possible. Through our God, we shall do valiantly.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your promise of victory and restoration. In times of distress, I turn to you, trusting in your power and faithfulness. Bring healing and restoration to areas of my life that need your touch. In the name of Jesus, amen.
