You need to finish the proposal. Your phone beeps nonstop. You have two more meetings lined up in the afternoon. You have not visited your parents for two weeks. You had less than 3 hours of sleep a day for the past five days. You feel tired. It is affecting your performance.
Our world is a whirlwind of activity and noise. Constant demands, the ever growing to-do lists, and the ever-present hum of technology can leave us feeling restless and overwhelmed. But in the midst of the chaos, Psalm 62 offers a refreshing message of peace and security found in God.
The Psalm emphasizes the importance of trusting in God, not the fleeting things of this world. It reminds us that true rest and salvation come from Him:
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; from him comes my salvation.” (Psalm 62:1)
