Being a Christian does not guarantee life to be a bed of roses. We still face challenges in life. We still fall sick. We can still be out of a job. We may still face difficulties. All these situations test our faith. During tough times, we feel the power of words. Words can build up. It can also destroy. Words of encouragement can lift up our spirits, strengthen our faith, and remind us of God’s faithfulness.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
We are never alone. No matter what trials we face, God is always there. Here are some reminders for you.
- You are loved. God loves you so much. Nothing separates you from the love of God. Do not turn away from God.
- You are strong. Through our God, we shall do valiantly. You can do all things through God who strengthens you.
- You have a purpose. God has a plan for your life. Every breath you take, every move you make, every step you take, and every moment in life is a part of his divine design.
- You are not alone. He walks with you and talks with you along life’s narrow way.
You can always turn to him.
I invite you to say this prayer.
Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a grateful heart, seeking your presence and encouragement. Father, help me to remember your promises and fill me with your peace. When I feel weak, give me your strength. When I am anxious, make me calm. I thank you, Father, for always being with me, holding me up with your righteous hand. Father, I ask that you place people in my life that will uplift and encourage me. Help me too to be a source of encouragement to others. Let my words and action reflect your love. Let my life bring glory to your name. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
