One moment you were walking in the clouds. Your smile is bright. Your spirit is high. You feel that you can conquer the world. You KNOW you can conquer the world. Another moment later, you wonder where you got the confidence. How can you make it in this world? How can you face all the challenges that comes one after another? What about me? What about -insert name here-?
It is easy to feel inadequate or question your self-worth. The world tells us our value is found in success, high positions, huge salaries, big cars, flip phones, impeccable appearance, and social status. For Christians, true identity is found from a far deeper source – our relationship with Jesus Christ.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph 2:10)
You are not an accident. You are not a failure. You are purposefully crafted by God to reflect his glory and love. As a Christian, your worth is not dependent on what you achieve or how others see you, but on the fact that God, the Creator of all things, loves you.
Your identity is secured in Christ. Instead of looking to the world for validation, fix your eyes on Jesus and let his truth reshape how you see yourself. You are loved, forgiven, and created for a purpose. Once you embrace this identity in Christ, your confidence no longer rests on the fleeting standards of the world but on the unchanging truth are you are a child of God and that he delights in you.
May this truth lift your spirit and remind you of your immeasurable worth in Christ.
