As we dive into the final week’s Bible reading this year, we will explore five passages that paint a breathtaking picture of God’s glory, power, and ultimate victory: Rev 21, Ps 98, Ps 149, Rev 22, and Ps 150. We celebrate God’s faithfulness and look forward to his eternal reign!
Rev 21 gives a vision of the new heaven and new earth. It is a place of perfection where God dwells with his people, wiping away every tear. This is a powerful reminder of the hope and restoration we have in Christ.
Ps 98 calls us to sing a new song and to rejoice in God’s marvellous deeds and his righteous judgement. Ps 149 echoes this joy, celebrating God’s victory and his delight in his people.
The final chapter of the Bible, Rev 22, gives us a picture of eternal life with God. It encourages us to live with eager anticipation of Jesus’ return.
Finally, Ps 150 is a crescendo that reaches unbridles praise. It urges every living thing to exalt God!
The common theme in these passages is praise for God’s glory and the hope of his eternal reign. As we read and meditate on these passages, allow them to inspire gratitude and trust in God’s promises. Together, let us celebrate the victory of our King and the future he has prepared for us.
