When was the last time you were so overwhelmed with joy you burst out singing praises?
“Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvellous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.” (Verse 1)
Ps 98 invites us to channel that joy and direct it toward God, who is always worthy of our praise.
Ps 98 is a hymn of victory and celebration, praising God for his salvation and his faithfulness to his people. It reminds us that worship is not just limited to an individual but a call for all creations – people, seas, rivers, and mountains – to join in exalting God!
In what way can we sing a new song today?
One, remember his faithfulness. Think of the times God brought you through tough times and provided for your needs. Two, pass it on. Just as the psalmist proclaim God’s victory, let us shar ethe good news of Jesus with people around us. Three, praise in all circumstances. In good times and bad, find reasons to praise him every day. A heart of worship refreshes the soul and strengthens faith.
I invite you to say this prayer.
Father, I sing to you a new song today! Thank you for the wonders you have done, for the salvation you have given us through Jesus Christ. Help me to live with hearts full of gratitude and lips that declare your glory to the world. I pray in the name of Jesus, amen.
