Are You Ready for the New Beginning? Rev 22 Calls Us Forward!
With so many things happening in your life, have you ever paused to imagine what eternity with God will look like?
Rev 22, the final chapter of the Bible, gives us a glorious picture of new heaven and new earth, where God and man dwell together in perfect harmony. It is an invitation to hope, to dream, and to prepare for what is to come!
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city.” (Verses 1 and 2a)
This river nourishes the tree of life, bearing fruit every month, with leaves for the healing of nations. No more death, no more darkness, no more curses – this is what we are eagerly anticipating.
How should we live in light of this promise? Seek God’s presence daily, knowing it is a foretaste of eternity. Share the gospel. Share the hope of eternal life with others who long for healing and restoration. Live with urgency. You know the truth, embrace it – Jesus is coming soon!
Let us keep our eyes fixed on this glorious future as we navigate life’s challenges.
I invite you to say this prayer.
Father, thank you for the promise of a future in your presence. Fill my heart with hope and joy as I await your return. Help me live today in a way that reflects the beauty of what is to come. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen
