
We have all been there. We are at a crossroad. We are not sure which path to take. There are too many possible options. There is a lack of options. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt leave us in analysis paralysis.
As Christians, we have a source of wisdom and guidance: God.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Prov 3:5-6)
When we do not know that to do, we may be tempted to find the easy way out. We may follow our instinct. We may follow the result of a coin toss. We talk to family and friends. We talk to AI chat bots. While an these can be invariably helpful, they should not and they cannot replace our dependence on God.
God has the big picture. He knows the beginning and the end. He holds our future in his hands. He has a plan for our lives. When we trust him wholeheartedly, he will direct our steps and lead us into his perfect plan.
When you are hiking in the Amazon forest, do you follow the local guide, or do you follow your own instinct?
When a plane is preparing to land at night, the runway is illuminated with various lights to guide the landing. God has lighted up the way, will you not take the first step of faith?
