We used to attend an Assembly of God church. I took the Pentecostal Foundation night class in the Bible College of Malaysia, learning the history of Pentecostal movement rooted in the Asuza Street Revival.
08/06/2025 is Pentecost Sunday.
The Holy Spirit is not just for emotional highs. It is for daily life.
Whether tou are from a Pentecostal background or not, the Holy Spirit is central to our walk with Christ. He is not confined to a denomination or a moment of worship. He is our guide, our comforter, and our source of power to live like Jesus in a broken world. He gives is courage when fear creeps in, wisdom when answers feel out of reach, and conviction when we start to drift.
Pentecost is not just history – it is a reminder. The same Spirit that empowers the early church still moves in us today. No matter what your church tradition is, He meets us with purpose and power. Christianity without the Holy Spirit is incomplete. He is not optional.
“All Word and no Spirit, we dry up; all Spirit and no Word, we blow up; both Word and Spirit, we grow up.” ~David Watson
