I pray this provides closure so I can move on.
I wrote something with all my heart. Prayed over it. Laboured through every word. I had hoped and expected that my fellow Christian friends would read it. Engage. Be stirred. But their silence left me wondering: Did it matter? Did they care? And deeper still: Should I even continue blogging?
In that quiet ache, I found myself praying – not just for them, but also for myself.
“Father, you see my heart. You know how much I wanted this to bless others. But today, their silence hurts. Help me not to grow bitter. Help me to stay faithful even when feedback does not come.”
God reminded me that the value of our service is not measured by response, but by obedience. “To obey is better than sacrifice.” (1 Sam 15:22)
Sometimes, the seeds we plant fall on hard soil – but that doesn’t make the act of planting worthless. And sometimes, we sow not for them, but for him. And we can always move on to another spot. No point keep sowing when you know it’s hard soil.
So, I’ll keep writing. Not for applause, but for God. And I pray that my words, like his Word, will not return empty – even if I never see the fruit.
“Let your smile be enough for me, Father.”
