Dear friends,
Not everyone will listen to a sermon. Not everyone will open a Bible. But everyone, without exception, feels the weight of kindness.
When you choose to speak gently to the weary cashier, when you pause to help a neighbour carry a heavy bag, when you cover your dog with an umbrella though it leaves you wet – these are more than good manners. These are glimpses of the Father’s heart.
Jesus said, “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16). Notice Jesus did not say be kind to make people admire you but let your kindness points them back to him.
The world can be harsh and unfeeling. But your kindness becomes a quiet protest, a small miracle in someone’s day. And often, it speaks louder than words.
So, my friends, let your light shine this way: through kindness that costs something, through patience that refuses to snap, through gentleness when the world expects anger. These are seeds the Spirit plants in others – seeds that may one day grow into faith.
Walk in light, my dear friends. Let kindness be your witness.
