I want to give thanks to God.
O Father, thank you that Ben is eating again!
Ben normally eagerly anticipates his breakfast and dinner when I cook his chicken. These few days, he did not. In fact, it took him five to ten minutes before he came over to his food. He would sniff and then left. He would not come back until five to ten minutes later. I spent those minutes praying like crazy and pretending I was not bothered. I was, very much bothered.
This morning, he did not take his boiled chicken plus kibbles. I went out to take my mother to get our regular checkup. When I came home, his breakfast was not touched. I tossed them and gave him half a can of wet food. He did not even check it out.
In the evening, my worry has reached a high level. I gave him his shower. This was delayed as I gave him his Frontline Spot-On last Friday. I am supposed to wait 48 hours. Right after the shower, he showed excitement when I gave him his dental chew. Hope grew within me.
I boiled eggs. I heated up the remaining half a can of wet food. He was looking at me in great anticipation while I was working in the kitchen. Hope grew even more.
He did not hesitate the moment I put the bowl down. As usual, he started with the egg yolk. He finished his dinner.
I. Am. Relieved.
God is faithful. Small things or big. God is faithful. I am a man of little faith. I have faith in small things.
I took Ben to see Dr Lya last Friday, when I noticed a “golf ball” appearing on his front left elbow. I was so worried. Dr Lya told me it was a hygroma. She checked and told me Ben e was not bothered by the “golf ball.” After taking medicine, the “golf ball” has started to shrink.
I. Am. Relieved.
All glory to Jesus!
