I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. (Psalm 57:9-10)
David was in danger. He faced betrayal. What did he do? David asked God for protection. David has unwavering trust in God. He knew God loved him.
Cry out to God. When you face unsurmountable obstacles, when you do not know how to move forward, when all is lost, when enemies surround you, you can cry out to God. You can pour your heart out to God. He hears your cry. He will help. He will give you refuge.
Find Peace in God’s presence. Sometimes the world may not be kind to you. Everything everywhere is pressing you for an answer, for an action, or just to pin you down. How do we find peace? You can find peace from the Prince of Peace. You can find peace from God. He can give you peace that surpasses all understanding. This means you can have peace regardless of your circumstances.
Give thanks. We can always sing praises to our God. We can give thanks even before we are out of our troubles. It is a choice. While we wait for God’s deliverance, we can sing his praises. Thanksgiving is a sign of trust. A thankful heart amplifies faith and hope.
