Greetings! We start this week’s reading with 1 Kings 7.
We read a detailed account in the architectural design of Solomon’s Temple and his royal palace. It shows Solomon’s dedication to creating a dwelling place for the Lord and a grand palace for himself. The craftsmanship and materials reflect the grandeur and glory worthy of the house of God. The precision and care taken in every detail in the construction of the temple reminds us of the importance of reverence in our worship and the importance of excellence in our daily walk with God.
A reflection on 1 Kings 7 remind us to create a space in our lives that honours God. It is not about a physical space but rather the condition of our hearts. Just as Solomon built a temple of grandeur, we are called to build our lives with integrity, faith, and dedication to God’s principles.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the rich lessons found in your Word. Help me to build my life with the same dedication and reverence that Solomon had for your temple. May my heart be a dwelling place for your Spirit, reflecting your glory in all that I do. Guide me in my Christian walk to honour you and fill me with wisdom and grace. I pray in the name of Jesus.
