“How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.” (Verse 24)
Ps 104 brings us into an awe-inspiring moment, inviting us to consider the beauty of God’s creation. Creation itself reflects God’s wisdom and creativity, designed with both beauty and purpose.
Ps 104 takes us on a journey through the wonders of nature, from mountains to oceans, from plants to animals. Every part of nature speaks to God’s power and care. When we recognize God’s hand in creation, we are invited to live with gratitude and to honour the world he has made. We are also invited to trust him as the sustainer of all life.
Spend time in nature. Walk in the park. Work in your garden. Or, just watch the clouds roll by. Reflect on the beauty around you. Give thanks for God’s wisdom in creation. Remember his ongoing care in your life.
I invite you to say this prayer.
Father, thank you for the beautiful creation which reveals your wisdom and power. Help me to live with thanksgiving and care for the world around me. May I trust in your sustaining presence every day. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
