I have been writing a blog post for each day of Bible reading according to the 2024 DUMC Bible reading plan. That is five days a week. Later, I started writing a Weekend Encourager on Saturday and a preview of the following on Sunday. That makes seven blog posts a week.
Recently I have started to add a corresponding podcast. Today is episode 36.
I do not have many visitors / listeners. Sometimes I am surprised by visitors from USA, Philippines, Pakistan, India, Australia etc.
My goal is not to get a lot of followers. Instead, I just want to provide a companion to the daily Bible reading, to inspire Word preparation, and to generally help others get closer to God.
I have tried to blog regularly in the past. I did not have the discipline. The Bible reading plan helps. I have a Bible passage as a theme for each day. I also have the opportunity to focus on a particular point in the passage and share my thoughts. And I am definitely ministered to by the daily Bible reading. I see God helping me through the daily reading. I have received encouragement, peace and comfort. I can share some of my daily struggles when the topic fits the situation.
I intend to complete the Bible Reading Plan. After that, I may do something else in 2025.
