I mistakenly thought today we read only Ps 113. I prepared this. We are to read both Ps 113 and 117 today. I will write a separate blog post.
Does God see you in the zenith of your life? Does he see you in the nadir of your life?
“The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? Have you ever considered how God sees you in both your highest and lowest moments?” (verses 4 to 6)
Ps 113 tells us that God is exalted above all. He lovingly reaches down to lift us up. He is concerned about us. Despite his majesty and greatness, he cares deeply for each of us. He especially cares for those who are overlooked.
Ps 113 encourages us to turn to God when we feel down. In discouragement, hardship, or even moments of self-doubt, we can take comfort in knowing God sees our struggles. He is faithful to lift us up when we are down. We praise God in moments of joy. We also praise him when we are facing challenges. We trust he will work for our good.
When does God see is? In our best moments or in our worst? Ps 113 calls us to respond to God’s compassion with constant praise. He sees us in both good times and bad. When we recognize his care in our lives, we are drawn closer to him. It fills our hearts with thanksgiving and hope.
I invite you to say this prayer.
Father, I praise you for your greatness and your love. Thank you for seeing me, lifting me up, and caring for me even when I am in the darkest valley. Help me to praise you in every season, trusting in your faithful care. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen,
