Amid life’s uncertainties, how do you approach God in worship and trust?

“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” (Verses 6 and 7.)

Ps 95 invite us to find joy, reference, and rest in the presence of our Creator God.

It calls us into an attitude of worship. It reminds us of God’s sovereignty and loving care. The first half celebrates his greatness as the creator of all things. It urges us to sing with joy and thanksgiving. The next half is a caution to all. It recounts Israel’s failure to trust God in the wilderness and it warns us not to harden our hearts.

How do we apply the lessons in Ps 95? Firstly, thank God. Take time to give thanks to God for his provision, protection, and care. The psalmist encourages joyful acknowledgement of God’s blessings. Secondly, trust God. Reflect on how God help you in the past. Time and again he has brought you through. This will help your faith to be deepened in his timing. Thirly, worship God. Bow before God! This reminds us of our dependence on him and it strengthens our relationship with him

I invite you to say this prayer.

Father, you are my maker and shepherd. You deserve all my worship and trust. Help me to approach you with a joyful heart and an obedient spirit. Teach me to hear your voice and rest in your care, avoiding the hardness of heart that lead me astray. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
