Greetings, fellow Bible lovers. This week, we read Rev 1, Ps 24, Rev 4, Rev 5, and Rev 7. We get a stunning picture of God’s glory majesty, and ultimate reign. The common theme is the worship of the sovereign king.
Rev 1 set the tone with the introduction of the risen Christ, the Alpha and Omega, who reigns over all. John in his vision invites us to revere him as the Lord of all. Ps 24 declares God is the Lord of everything. The psalmist challenges us to come to God with clean hands and pure hearts. We then move on to Rev 4 which gives us a glimpse of heaven where worship never ceases. Rev 5 reveals the Lamb of God as the only one worthy to open the scroll, inviting a crescendo of praise from every create in heaven and earth. Finally, in Rev 7, we see the multitude worshipping before the throne. Salvation belongs to the Lord!
The reading this week focuses on God’s sovereignty and glory. Do set aside time each day to read and meditate on these passages. Allow them to inspire you to worship God.
