What does it mean to truly worship God? How do we approach God in worship?
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Verse 4)
Ps 100 gives us a beautiful blueprint for entering God’s presence with joy and thanksgiving. It reminds us of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
Ps 100 is short but powerful. It overflows with themes of gratitude and praise, extending an invitation to all the earth to worship God with gladness. It ends with a declaration of God’s unchanging character – his goodness, love, and faithfulness endure forever.
Ps 100 calls us to be thankful to God, not only in good times but also in bad times. Gratitude transforms our perspective, shifting our focus from problems to God’s provision, protection, and presence.
Take time every day to thank God for his blessings, big or small. Incorporate praise in your prayers, reflecting on his goodness and love. Consider how your worship – through singing, serving, or giving – can be an expression of thanksgiving.

Father, I come before you with grateful hearts, acknowledging your goodness and faithfulness. Teach me to live with thanksgiving. Let me honour you in all I do. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
