I am putting aside what I originally planned to write today and write this instead.
Since Q3 last year, I have been reading and have been waiting for my Xiaomi 13 T Pro to be upgraded to Hyper OS 2.0. I read news about what is new in this update. I read about the devices to get this update. I read about the countries that will get this update. I also ready about when to expect this update.
Granted, my phone works fine as it is without the update. However, there are some new features I like to try. I do not check for updates every day, but I do check every now and then and sometimes several times a day.
It makes me kind of sad when I read one article saying my phone model will not get that update.
I was a little disappointed, but I was not in distraught. I am happy if I get it. I am ok if I do not get it.
Then, I felt like checking from update just now. And imagine the joy and surprise when I see Hyper OS 2.0 being available! I am so happy. It is a 6.1 GB download. The download is still in progress.
In life, sometimes we do not get what we want. Sometimes we do not get what we want when we want it. We must think about this. Is it not more important to have God in our life or a life in Christ, than to have an update to the phone OS? Is it not more important to have God in our life or a life in Christ, than to have 20 preaching dates in a year? Is it not more important to have God in our life or a life in Christ, than to have 25 people reading and commenting your blog post every day?
I am learning to look to Jesus. He does not disappoint. He never disappoints.
