Facing changes

The only constant in life is the constant changes. Life is full of changes. Some are expected, some are not. Some are exciting, some are not. Even as Christians, we may have a new baby in the family, the death of a spouse, the diagnostic of an illness, job loss, the car breaking down, the mind breaking down, etc.

A change in life can shake our peace. In a moment of weakness, fear and doubt can creep in. However, God calls us to face change with courage. He is our source of strength.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

His promise assures us that no matter what changes come, God is with us. He guides our steps. He provides everything we need.

When life takes an unexpected turn, we draw strength from God through prayer, the Bible, and our community of faith. Seeking God through prayer brings peace. Reading the Word of God helps us to know him better and brings us closer to him. Fellowship offers encouragement and support.

Change does not necessarily break us. Change can refine us. It can deepen our trust in God.

Instead of fearing the unknown, we embrace it with faith. Good holds our future. Trust him. Take it one step at a time. God can turn every change into an opportunity for growth. We can learn to be more dependent on him.

What changes have you faced recently? How did they affect you? Did they make you or break you?
