Let’s be honest—sometimes life feels like a never-ending loop of alarm clocks, dirty dishes, emails, and traffic jams. You love God, but you’re also just trying to survive another Tuesday that looks exactly like last Tuesday, or the last 254 Tuesdays.
Here’s the good news: God isn’t allergic to boring. He shows up right in the middle of your to-do list.
Remember, Jesus spent 30 years not preaching sermons but building tables. He knew the feel of sawdust in his hair and sweat on his brow. If the Son of God found meaning in the mundane, so can we.
Want to spice things up?
Turn chores into prayer time. Folding laundry? Pray for the person who’ll wear that shirt.
Make your routine a mission. Who can you encourage today—a coworker, your barista, the neighbor who never waves back?
Change the channel in your head. Instead of “Ugh, here we go again,” try “God, what are you doing here today?”
Life won’t always be mountaintop moments. But in the grind, in the ordinary, God is quietly at work—and so are you.
So go ahead, scrub that sink like it’s holy work. Because maybe, just maybe—it is.
