When the Road is Long

You have been on the road for hours. The road ahead seems endless. The sun sets. You are now relying on your head lamp to navigate the darkness. The fuel gauge is dipping lower and lower. Yet, the destination still feels as far away as three hours ago. You keep driving, crunching one km after another, even through you cannot see the end.

Life often feels like that. The road is long. We get up everyday to face the same thing. At times, the end seems hidden, and hope feels distant.

Still, we cannot let go. We keep going, not because it is easy, but because God is faithful. He sees the end even when we do not. The Bible tells us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Gal 6:9).

Dear reader, if the road feels long, remember this. You are not alone. God is near. His strength is enough. His promises are sure. And he will never let you go.

I invite you to say this prayer.

Father, when the road feels long and I am weary, help me to remember that you are right here with me. Give me the courage to press on. Give me the faith to trust that you will bring me safely home. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
