Overflowing: A Landscape of Love and Loss

K, The silence since November 15th stretches like an infinite landscape, punctuated by memories both tender and raw. Grief arrives not as a single moment, but as a living, breathing presence that inhabits every corner of our shared story. Your absence is a profound language I am learning to speak — each breath a delicate…

Weekend Encourager – Sharing God’s Love This Christmas

Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ. It is a season of joy, hope, and celebration. It marks the moment when God demonstrated his boundless love by giving his only begotten son. As Christians, this profound gift reminds us of the incredible love we have received and inspires us to share it with others. John 3:16…

Weekend Encourager – Giving Beyond Calculation

What does authentic Christian stewardship look like when our resources intersect with divine purpose? Generosity does not necessary emerge from surplus but from a real understanding of God’s abundant grace. “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor…

Weekend Encourager – Rekindling the Passion

Have you found yourself spiritually adrift? Does worship feel more like a distant echo than a vibrant connection? Did skipping church one week become skipping it for two years? In our journey of faith, it is not uncommon to experience seasons where passion wanes and spiritual enthusiasm seems to fade. “Yet I hold this against…

The love has gone … or has it?
I got an inspiration on 30/10/2024. I put down in writing on the next day and shared it with some close friends. I am sharing it now. It was written 15 days before K left us and went to be with Jesus. Each day, Logan moved through the hospital room with quiet, precise care. He…

Goodbye, K.

The two nights of wake services are over. The funeral is over. The remains have been taken for cremation. Is it over? Not by a long shot. Besides the legal formalities, I must pack her things. The grief inside me no longer needs to be suppressed. I can stop being the cold-blooded, heartless, unloving husband…

13/11/2024|Ps 113 – You Raise Me Up
I mistakenly thought today we read only Ps 113. I prepared this. We are to read both Ps 113 and 117 today. I will write a separate blog post. Does God see you in the zenith of your life? Does he see you in the nadir of your life? “The Lord is exalted over all…

Weekend Encourager – How Deep is Your Love?

1 Cor 13 tells us love is patient and love is kind. By this definition, when we love much, we have more patience. When we love more, we are kinder. On the other hand, when we love less, we are less patient and less kind. As Christians, we are still human. We have emotions. We…

Weekend Encourager – Be Kind

I spent quite a bit of time in the hospital. I sometimes see people who need help. One auntie needed to know how to get to the clinic for her appointment. One uncle was not sure where to get the number for the queue. One patient is not sure the procedure to get her medicine.…
